Our History

Started in 1980 PMT is family owned and operated business steeped in Canadian history. With deep prairie roots our goal was to provide Western Canada with quality micro premixes.  It quickly became apparent that the industry had other needs and PMT quickly became known as the “one stop shop” manufacturing a full line of Milk Replacers and representing/distributing quality products from all over the world. As our root grew as we launched our Milk Replacer facility in Kitchener, Ontario.  Soon after we planted ourselves in Abbotsford, BC expanding our Vitamin Premix business while growing an off shoot office and distribution network in Asia Pacific.

In 1992 PMT launched Essentials Inc. in Abbotsford, BC as another strategic addition to provide the industry with consistent, reliable flavours and sweeteners addressing palatability issues and providing locally grown solutions manufactured right here in Canada. Together we create, manufacture and sell our flavours and sweeteners across Canada, across the border and across the sea.

Our roots are deep have reached from coast to coast with a passion for innovation, customer satisfaction and quality. We have successfully partnered with our customer and suppliers for over 40 years helping animals reach their fullest potential!
