NOTES ON MIXING
- For accurate mixing, use scales to weigh powder
- Always use fresh potable water for mixing milk replacer solution
- Add powder to water (38°- 45°c) using wire whisk to mix thoroughly
- Mix only enough for one feeding at a time
- Wash rinse and sanitize utensils thoroughly after every feeding

- During COLD weather when environmental temps drop below 4°c for prolonged periods, increase the amount fed daily by up to 50% by providing a THIRD daily feeding of milk replacer solution in addition

- Feed 4 – 6 litres of good quality colostrum within 8 hours of birth
- Continue feeding transition milk for up to 3 days
- In the absence or shortage of whole milk in the first 3 weeks after birth, switch to either Wet Nurse™ 20-20-20 or 20-20-16 milk replacer for the sole solution.
CAUTION
- Wet Nurse™ 21-12-12- is designed to be fed in combination with whole milk to calves younger than 3 weeks of age
- Directions for use must be carefully followed
- Allow calves continuous access to good clean drinking water
- Starting at approximately 1 week of age, provide a good quality calf starter on a free-choice basis
